Key Concepts to Understand First
Peptide Categories
Peptides in this vault fall into several functional categories:
- GHRH analogs (CJC-1295 NO DAC, Sermorelin, Tesamorelin) โ stimulate pituitary GH release
- GHRPs / Ghrelin mimetics (Ipamorelin, GHRP-2, GHRP-6, Hexarelin) โ amplify GH pulses
- GLP-1/GIP agonists (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, Retatrutide) โ appetite and metabolic regulation
- Healing peptides (BPC-157, TB-500) โ tissue repair and angiogenesis
- Mitochondrial peptides (MOTS-C, SS-31, Humanin) โ cellular energy and resilience
- Immune peptides (Thymosin Alpha-1, LL-37, VIP, KPV) โ immune regulation
- Cognitive / neurological (Semax, Selank, Cerebrolysin, Dihexa) โ brain function
- Anti-aging (Epitalon, GHK-Cu, NAD+, FOXO4-DRI) โ longevity mechanisms
Administration Routes
- SubQ (subcutaneous injection) โ most common; insulin syringe, pinched skin
- Intranasal โ peptides that cross nasal mucosa (Semax, Selank, Oxytocin)
- Oral โ limited to acid-stable peptides (BPC-157, KPV, 5-Amino-1MQ)
- Topical โ skin-active peptides (GHK-Cu, Argireline, Matrixyl, Syn-ake)
- IV โ physician-administered only (Cerebrolysin)
Cycling Principles
Most peptides require cycling to maintain receptor sensitivity and efficacy:
- Short-acting peptides (BPC-157, TB-500): 4โ8 weeks on, 4 weeks off
- GHRH/GHRP combos: 8โ12 weeks on, 4โ8 weeks off
- Telomere-active peptides (Epitalon): 10โ20 day courses, 2โ3x per year
- GLP-1 agonists (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide): typically ongoing with dose titration
