Quick Start Guide

Welcome to the Obsidian Peptides Vault. This is your landing page and orientation guide. Start here.

What Is This Vault?

This vault is a comprehensive, cross-linked knowledge base for therapeutic peptide research and application. It contains:

  • 67 peptide notes โ€” individual profiles for every major therapeutic peptide
  • 32 condition notes โ€” peptide applications organized by health condition
  • 13 protocol notes โ€” ready-to-use clinical protocols with dosing, timing, and cycling
  • 331 research notes โ€” individual peer-reviewed study summaries (PMID-linked)
  • 50 product notes โ€” Ageless Peps catalog mappings from SKU to peptide science
  • 12 source books โ€” reference library of primary texts
  • 4 compliance notes โ€” FDA/WADA regulatory status and safety matrices
  • 8 MOC index files โ€” this navigation layer tying everything together

Everything is connected via double bracket links. Use Obsidian's Graph View to visualize how peptides, conditions, protocols, and research cluster together.

Key Concepts to Understand First

Peptide Categories

Peptides in this vault fall into several functional categories:

Administration Routes

Cycling Principles

Most peptides require cycling to maintain receptor sensitivity and efficacy:

  • Short-acting peptides (BPC-157, TB-500): 4โ€“8 weeks on, 4 weeks off
  • GHRH/GHRP combos: 8โ€“12 weeks on, 4โ€“8 weeks off
  • Telomere-active peptides (Epitalon): 10โ€“20 day courses, 2โ€“3x per year
  • GLP-1 agonists (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide): typically ongoing with dose titration

Recommended Starting Paths

Path 1 โ€” The Beginner

  1. Read Peptides A Beginners Guide (Sources)
  2. Browse Peptide Index to identify peptides relevant to your goals
  3. Find the matching Condition Index entry for your health focus
  4. Select a Protocol Index protocol and review the full protocol note

Path 2 โ€” The Researcher

  1. Start with Research Index to find studies on peptides of interest
  2. Follow links from PMID notes to the peptide profile
  3. Cross-reference with Condition Index for clinical context
  4. Reference Source Index for deeper dives via primary texts

Path 3 โ€” The Protocol Builder

  1. Start with Protocol Index โ€” find the protocol that matches your goal
  2. Open individual peptide notes for each component to verify mechanisms
  3. Use Graph View to visualize peptide overlaps and condition relationships
  4. Check Research Index for supporting evidence on each component

Obsidian Tips for This Vault

  • Graph View โ€” open with Ctrl/Cmd + G; zoom out to see the full peptide-condition-protocol network
